World Masters Games Silver in NZ

Jones & Co sponsored swimmer Phil Muspratt returned from the World Masters Games in Auckland, New Zealand, with a brace of silver medals. The games attracted 25,000 from around the world, the biggest multi-sport event on the planet (including the Olympics) from around 100 countries.

Phil entered the 200m & 50m freestyle as well as the 50m backstroke. On his first day of competition Phil, a day after a 28 hour plane journey, took to the pool in the 200m freestyle. Phil touched home in 5th place in a seasons best time. He had to recover quickly & dig deep as he was soon back in the pool in the 50m backstroke. The Salisbury swimmer romped home in another seasons best to win his first medal of the Games.

After a few days of attapting to the time zone, Phil was back in the pool in the 50m freestyle where he claimed his 2nd silver of the week in his third seasons best time, coming 2nd to London 2012 Olympian, Carl O’Donnell of New Zealand.
